Here's My Woodworking!

I've been woodworking for 20 years as a hobby. I had some scraps and started making hand made kitchen utensils, which you can see above and throughout this column. In the picture above from left to right the types of wood are, mesquite, pecan, oak, cherry, and mahogany. The two cheese servers and butter knifes are mahogany.
My first project was made out of necessity, back in 1972. A wood log was made into a lamp, with a lamp shade from Kmart. Over the years, as funds provided, additions to the tool chest started to take shape. After retiring we moved from Houston to the Texas hill country, just outside of Sisterdale. My woodworking skills and projects expanded as children and grandchildren's requests increased. Some of my projects included a cedar headboard, pecan bedside tables and headboard, a 7' oak dinning table, outdoor table with tile inlay, built-in cabinets for our country home, and, of course a few kitchen utensils. My wife has commissioned a buffet for our kitchen for a 50 year anniversary present.
